Amateur player turns $5 into $1.3 Million at Partypoker

When clicking on the "Register" button at the lobby of a $5 satellite, Slovenian "Scarmak3r" probably had no idea, his life will be changed in a few days.

From time to time we hear about stories when inexperienced players turn a small amount of money into a huge some. Earlier this year, it was Hungarian satellite winner at EPT Monte-Carlo, who managed to walk away with €184K after finishing 5th in the Main Event - a tournament he got into for only €10.

The latest - and probably the biggest - "moneymaker" is a recreational player from Slovenia, who plays under the "Scarmak3r" moniker at Partypoker. Prior to his latest score of $1,364,000 "Scarmak3r" only played low-stakes tournaments, with no serious scores to his name.

When he decided to give a $5 MILLIONS Online satellite a shot, he certainly had no idea what he stepped into. He managed to qualify for the $5,300 historical event, which guaranteed a $20,000,000 prize pool!

"Scarmak3r" took on the once in a lifetime opportunity and managed to outlast all but two of his 4,000+ opponents. He received $1,364,688 for finishing 3rd in the biggest tournament in the history of online poker.

Considering how unreal his achievement is, it's no surprise to see, pro player and popular Youtuber, Joe Ingram made a video about it.
