Chan Wai Leong leads 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro Main Event after Day 1

Stefan Schillhabel, Patrik Antonius, and Mikita Badziakouski also ended the day in the top 5.

The HKD1,000,000 (~$127,390) Main Event generated a total of 39 entries during the first seven levels, including 7 re-entries. Even though the winner of the HKD$250,000 6-Max Event, Richard Yong suggested he might need three bullets in the flagship event of the series, it was Germany's Koray Aldemir, who entered three times, after busting two times with Ace-king against pocket Queens and Jacks of Chan Wai Leong. These two hands helped the Malaysian player to build a stack of 778,500, to claim the top spot. Chan is followed by Stefan Schillhabel, who accumulated 668,500 chips.

Only 27 players survived Day 1 and none of them needs an introduction if you're familiar with the high-stakes poker community. Patrik Antonius, who recently found his way back to the tournament circuit after crushing the highest stakes cash games all around the world (and online) is currently fourth, while Belarussian Mikita Badziakouski is waiting Day 2 with 569,000.
