Crazy final table lineup at the Aussie Millions $100k Challenge 2016
The final 6 players: Connor "blanconegro" Drinan, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, Jason Mercier, Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood, Fabian "fabstinho" Quoss and Ben "Ben86" Tollerene. The first place prize: A$1.446.480
One of the most anticipated tournaments of the Aussie Millions, the A$100k Challenge kicked off on January 24. Day 1 brought a total of 37 entries (29 players and 8 re-entries).
Most of the re-entries came from Igor Kurganov, who rebought four times on Day 1, finally advancing to Day 2 with a stack of 120,500.
Stephen Chidwick and Brian Rast built the biggest stacks, both of them will return to 378,500 chips.
A total of 18 players advanced but registration was still open until the end of the first blind level of Day 2 (Level 9, 2,000/4,000 - 500 ante).
In the first hand of the day, Igor Kurganov raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and Sam ''Str8$$$Homey'' Greenwood 3bet to 24,000 from a stack of 111,000. Kurganov used his time bank chip before shoving all-in with a slightly bigger stack.
Greenwood snapcalled with A-A and Kurganov was looking for a miracle with his A-2 suited. The K-Q-8-J-4 board didn't help Kurganov, who lost his remaining 14,000 chips not much later before buying in for a fifth time.
Kurganov needed to finish in at least third place to break even but fifth time wasn't the charm either, he was eliminated during Level 11 (3,000/6,000 - 1,000 ante), he shoved all-in against Jason Merciers 13,000 chip raise with 6-6, unfortunately for him German superstar Fedor ''CrownUpGuy'' Holz shoved with 9-9 behind him and he couldn't improve.
During Level 12 (4,000/8,000 -1,000 ante) there were a few quick eliminations and players continued play on one table to reach the 6 paying spots.

Seat 8. Fabian Quoss - 216.000 (27 bb)
Seat 9. Ben Tollerene - 1.060.000 (133 bb)
David Peters was eliminated in 9th (KQ - AQ vs Holz) and was soon followed by David Steicke in 8th (KQ - 99 vs Greenwood). On Level 16 (10,000/20,000 - 3,000 ante) Jason Koon bubbled the tournament after running his AK into Connor Drinans Aces.
