Dan Colman Wins Triton SHR Manila 6-Max

The Manila stop of the HK$250,000 buy-in Triton Super Series was held on February 17th. 43 people registered for the prestigious high roller’s 6-max tournament which set the prize pool at HK$10,113,600.

The final table featured these players:

Seat 1: Timofey Kuznetsov – 286,000 (47 bb)
Seat 2: Mikita Badziakouski – 161,000 (26 bb)
Seat 3: Erik Seidel – 319,000 (53 bb)
Seat 4: Rainer Kempe – 700,000 (116 bb)
Seat 5: Mustapha Kanit – 26,000 (4 bb)
Seat 6: Sergio Aido– 351,000 (58 bb)
Seat 7: Dan Colman – 307,000 (51 bb)

The final table started at a 3,000/6,000-1,000 blind level, and surprisingly Kanit, who arrived at the table with only four big blinds, wasn’t the first to be knocked out since he tripled his chips immediately. It was Badziakouski who had to leave first: he called Seidel’s all-in and his AT came short against AK.

Kanit finished in 6th place: Aido called his all-in with Q8, and the queen dropped on the river.

Next to leave was Kuznetsov, then Aido, after them the Super High Roller champion Kempe. The German pro’s stack got very short, so he went all-in with his pair of Q’s, Colman called and his A6 improved to a set of 6’s.

Coleman started the heads-up against Seidel with a 2:1 lead and ended up winning the tournament. Both players brought their A-game for the "duel", but Seidel managed to turn the score around and took the lead. But soon Coleman caught a bluff and became the chipleader again. In the last hand Seidel jammed with A6 which Colman called with AJ suited, and the board fell QJJ A 2.

Back in 2014, Colman refused to give a victory interview after winning the Big One and did not smile in his photo with the prize, saying that he doesn't want gambling to be promoted in the media. This time, he looked quite happy when accepting his $473,408 first prize.
