The Duel - Rafael Nadal vs. Ronaldo in new PokerStars promotion
In PokerStars' new promotion tennis star Rafa Nadal is going to play heads-up against retired football legend Ronaldo. The battle is going to take place in London on November 6, and will be live streamed on YouTube and PokerStars.tv
Nadal vs. Ronaldo
The 14-time Grand Slam winner tennis player and the Brazilian footballl icon, who won the World Cup twice, have already met at the tables, they played together during a charity tournament at EPT Prague 2013. The tournament was won by Nadal, now Ronaldo is preparing for the comeback.
"It was my first live poker tournament when I last played against Ronaldo and one year later I'm more confident with my skill level. I really enjoy playing poker and the challenge of learning as quickly as possible, so I can't wait to get back into training on my game and to play against Ronaldo" - said Nadal.
Ronaldo takes the preparation very seriously: "I challenged Rafa to a rematch after finding out he was preparing for another live poker game. The last time we played together Rafa won the match and it was a lot of fun. This time it will be different, though, because I have been improving on my own poker strategy and will be more prepared."
Rafa vs The World - Round 2
To prepare Rafa for the duel, PokerStars is doing a Rafa vs. The World challenge again. In this promotion, Rafa has to play for one hour at the play money 6-max Zoom poker tables, and he will get two points for every pot won after the flop, while "The World" receives 1 point per hand won after the flop. Last time, Rafa won with a score of 20-18. In the promotion, the winner's points were multiplied by 100, and the cash equivalent of the points was donated to Care International.
The battle is going to be live streamed on YouTube and PokerStars.tv from 19.00 (CET) on September 22.
