EPT100 - Record field in the ESPT - €50k Super High Roller started - Win a €2,000 live tournament package in new EPT promotion

The 100th EPT stop in the tour's existence is Barcelona, where it all started back in 2004. PokerStars has been heavily promoting the Barcelona Poker Festival, which is the local Estrellas Poker Tour paired up with European Poker Tour Barcelona, for the past couple of months, and their efforts seemed to have paid off.

The biggest attendance for an EPT Main Event is usually at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, but many are expecting that this years Barcelona Main Event is going to be the largest ever held. If we base the assumptions on the attendance of the Estrellas Poker Tour, we definitely see why people are so optimistic - the local tour has already attracted the biggest field at a PokerStars live event, and there is still one starting flight left.

Day 1A had 438 runners and Day 1B had 872, and there are more than 1,000 players signed up for Day 1C, so the tournament has already surpassed the numbers of the BSOP Sao Paolo event that PokerStars held in October 2013.

The €50,000 Super High Roller is also in action, currently there are about 40 players in the event, most of them high roller/super high roller regulars like Mike McDonald and Erik Seidel (both of whom final tabled this event the first two times around), but a few businessmen were also spotted.

If you are unable to go to Barcelona but still want part of the action, you should check out Fantasy Poker Manager application (courtesy of Global Poker Index) where you have to assemble a team that you think is most likely to make a splash at the Super High Roller and in  the Main Event.

If your team gets the most points, you will be rewarded with a €2,000 live tournament package for any PokerStars-sponsored live event. Second to fifth place finishers will each receive a €100 online tournament ticket.

It is important to mention that to be eligible in the competition, you have to put at least one PokerStars Pro in your team. Registration of a team is available until the start of Day 2 in both events, but it's worth to create your team as soon as possible so the player prices don't go up.
