Going into the final table, Daniel Negreanu was chipleader, followed by Johnny Chan, Joe Hachem and Huck Seed. Negreanu’s luck did not keep up, though, and he finished the tournament in sixth place. It came down to Howard Lederer and Huck Seed competing heads-up for the title, when Lederer went all-in with Q8s and Seed called, holding A2s. Seed made a pair on the flop, worth $500,000 and his first TOC title.
