Mikita Badziakouski takes down Triton SHR Main Event in Montenegro

The Belarussian high-stakes pro booked his biggest score after outlasting a field of 63.

The Triton Super High Roller Series keeps the poker world excited, as several high-buy-in events are running at the Maestral Resort & Casino. The HKD1,000,000 ($132,000) event promising a huge payday, attracted all of the top pros. The total prize pool reached HKD59,270,400 (~$7,550,129), with $2.5M going for the winner.

Badziakouski started the final day with the third biggest chip stack and managed to claim the top spot by the five-handed period. With this score, his total live earnings now stand at $9,232,182 and is likely to keep on growing.

It was Germany's Dietrich Fast, who busted first at the final table, which was no surprise, considering he returned to the table with only 9 big blinds. Dietrich earned $249,165 for his performance. Fast was followed by fellow German grinder, Manig Loeser. Even though Manig chipped up early by eliminating his countryman, he lost a big pot to Steve O'Dwyer and shipped his last chips to Mikita Badziakouski's way shortly after. Loeser received a nice paycheck of $256,681.

Steve O'Dwyer got 7th for $294,514, after falling victim of Frenchman, Rui Cao in two hands in a row. Malaysian Ivan Leow became 6th for $362,410, while earlier chip leader, Steffen Sontheimer ended in 5th place good for $483,171. Another Malaysian player, Wai Leong Chan received $702,146 for his 4th place and Peter Jetten $1,019,335 for 3rd.

The heads-up started with Mikita holding a 2-1 lead over Cao. The latter finally busted when his bluff got called by the top pair of his opponents. He received $1,683,648 for finishing 2nd, while "fish2013" earned the top prize of $2,499,090.
