Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open - Koon ships Main Event for $1 million, Rettenmaier wins High Roller for $787,497
Jason Koon defeated former roommate Seth ''setherson2'' Davies in heads-up to claim the huge score while Rettenmaier defeated Dan Colman in heads-up to walk away with the High Roller title.
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) is a prestigious event which offers players a $5,000,000 guaranteed Main Event for a $5,250 buy-in. Despite the great venue and the massive guarantee, their Main Event has overlayed multiple times in the past few years, this year the tournament brough 847 entrants, creating a $550,000 overlay.
Although the number of entrants was not what the organizers had hoped for, the final table was stacked with big name pros including Seth ''setherson2'' Davies, SCOOP Main Event champion Ryan ''toetagU'' Fair, Jason ''JAKoon1985'' Koon and Joe ''floes'' Serock.
Seat 1: Seth Davies – 3.350.000 (56 bb)
Seat 2: Roman Valenstein – 2.895.000 (48 bb)
Seat 3: Thomas Midena – 4.395.000 (73 bb)

Seat 8: Joe Serock – 1.845.000 (31 bb)
Seat 9: Tim Burt – 2.575.000 (43 bb)
Fair finished in 8th, Serock busted in 6th and Koon and Davies played the heads-up. It's interesting to note that they have previously been roommates, now they faced off for $1 million.
Koon defeated Davies, in the final hand of the tournament he called Davies' 3bet shove with A-8 suited and held up against his Q-J.
