September High Stakes Report - Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton wins $700,000, Gus Hansen drops another million

Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton was the most profitable player in September, winning $717,347 in less than 2,200 hands. The biggest loser of the month, as usual, is Gus Hansen, who dropped $921,276.  

Haxton won most of the money in NLHE ($556,000) and the rest in PLO ($160,000). The second on the September leaderboard is Rui "PepperoniF" Cao, who won almost $400,000. Cao was mostly active at the draw and PLO tables, he won $223,000 and $168,000 in the two formats.

Third place goes to Mikael "punting-peddler" Thuritz with $371,000 in winnings. He won $212,000 of this in 8-game and $96,000 in PLO, and added $62,000 from the NLHE tables aswell. Thuritz is having a great last few months, he won almost $1.3 million in August and is already the second bigggest winner of the year with $2.3 million in profits.

Fourth and fifth place go to SanIker ($345,000) and Doug "WCGRider" Polk ($320,000). 

Topping the list of the biggest losers of the month is Gus Hansen, who dropped $921,000 in 15,137 hands. He mostly got crushed at the draw tables, he lost $872,000 in 13.986 hands.

All 10 of the biggets pots of the month were won by WCGRider, who was battling Swedish high-stakes player Denoking (wilhasha on PokerStars) for the better part of a week.

The biggest pot was $382,827, and it happened after the two players got into a raising war and put in almost $200,000 each. Denoking held KK, but was crushed by WCGRider's AA, which managed to hold.

The biggest winners of the year is still Daniel "jungleman12" Cates with $2.8 million in winnings. Top three biggest losers are Gus Hansen (-$5.5 million), Phil "Polarizing" Ivey (-$2.3 million) and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (-$1.5 million).
