Victoria Coren-Mitchell wins three British Poker Awards

Victoria Coren-Mitchell made the headlines several times last year, she became the first ever two-time EPT winner and she also left PokerStars when the company decided to add casino games to its offering. On Monday night, she won three awards at the British Poker Awards including one for "Personality of the Year."

The British Poker Awards Ceremony was held at the Hippodrome Casino in London and besides Coren-Mitchell, other big names walked away with prestigious titles aswell.

The British Poker Awards hands out several titles to players, but they also award the industry members who work behind the scenes to ensure that every tournament runs smoothly and those who work hard to help the game to grow.

Victoria Coren-Mitchell won three awards; Personality of the Year, Social Media User of the Year and Poker Performance of the Year.

The breakout player of the year was Simon Deadman, while Chris Moorman took home two titles, one for being the "Online Player of the Year" and another one for being the "Players' Player of the Year".

The Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham received the award for being the "Best Live Cardroom" and the "Best UK Tournament" title went to the WPT500 that was held in Nottingham. Rob Yong, the head of Dusk Till Dawn won the award for "Best Contribution to Growing and Promoting Poker" making DTD the other big winner besides Coren-Mitchell.
