Victory Poker Ditches Everleaf for Cake

The rumor is now true, Victory Poker leaves the Everleaf Poker Network for Cake Poker Network. The rumor started when Dan Fleysheman, CEO of Victory Poker promised a big announcement scheduled for his birthday, September 1st, though, PokerNewsDaily.com independently confirmed it a few days ago.

Victory Poker came to the online poker scene last year, signing pro player Antonio Esfandiari, and joining the Malta-based Everleaf Poker Network, whose traffic hugely increased when Victory joined in. As Victory became more and more popular, it reached the limitations of the small network, and began to plan the move to a more populated network such as the Cake.

The Cake Poker Network, which accepts US players just like Everleaf has lost two of its main poker sites and had to deal with some security breaches due to weak encryption; it slipped back to the 16th place from inside the top 10, according to PokerScout.com. However, with the marriage with Victory, they can count on a strong comeback. As Ace King, reporter for the Gambling911.com states: “Assuming Victory has just half players on the Everleaf Network, we would be looking at the Cake Poker Network once again flirting with the top 10”.

I am curious as to how it will work out for Cake and Victory, and to what Everleaf is going to do to counter the lost traffic.
