Hansen on the Comeback in Triple Draw Games
While it would be way too early to draw conclusions, it appears that Gus Hansen may have a chance of starting to come back from his ridiculous losses after all. In the recent nosebleed 2-7 Triple Draw games, he has emerged a confident winner.
Recently, the hot games on the highest stakes are the $2,000/$4,000 2-7 Triple Draw sessions among the very elite of the online scene. Arguably, most intense has been the action between ‘taktloss47’ and Gus Hansen: the two of them had been playing for 12 hours straight yesterday before booking the largest total winnings of the day.
According to the HSDB, Hansen started out better, winning $105,000 in only 1.5 hours of play, before they moved to a table that appeared to favour ‘taktloss47’: in the next 8 hours, he was on a hot run, piling up close to $1,000,000 in front of him and he eventually went on a short break with $877,400 in profits. In their final clash, Hansen actually managed to turn the tide and win back $239,900 but ‘taktloss47’ remained the biggest winner of the day nevertheless, earning $532,300 for his day of efforts.
Even though Hansen did not come out very well form the session against ‘taktloss47’, he miraculously managed to turn his daily balance into plus, winning a total of $200,400. In $200/$400 CAP PLO games, he kept winning from opponents like ‘Ingenious89’, ‘BlondieCutie’, ‘ronnyr37617’, ‘SxMxFx’, ‘trex313’, and ‘no_Ola’ for a total of $300,000, in addition to some winnings against other players in the evening back at the $2,000/$4,000 2-7 Triple Draw games.
The same game seemed to suit Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond very well, too, as he earned a total of $221,400 in about 6.5 hours of play. At the time of writing, the high stakes action is still taking place with Hansen as the biggest current winner ($573,935 in 3,162 hands), followed by Galfond ($397,183 in 2,092 hands) and a range of seasoned pros like ‘thecortster’, ‘NorthugJr’, ‘PostflopAction’ or ‘Kagome Kagome’.
The current biggest losers are ‘Isildur1’ (-$367,694 in 1,591 hands), ‘ragen70’ (-$303,103 in 1,609 hands) and ‘jungleman12’ (-$200,226 in 2,035 hands). Interestingly enough, ‘taktloss47’ has also already lost $240,000 of his winnings from yesterday in just 255 hands.
