PokerStars News - MicroMillions culminates in huge Main Event, PS7 beta for .eu users and EPT100

The PokerStars MicroMillions 8 was a great series, and the $22 Main Event drew a huge field, the eventual winner outlasted 57,885 others to claim the trophy and more than $100,000 in prize money.

The tournament had a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and a $100,000 first place guarantee, both of which were easily covered by the huge field. In the end, after more than twelve and a half hours of play, 69FABIAN69, a Hungarian micro stakes player with just 112 tournaments played lifetime, managed to take down the tournament.

He and his heads-up opponent, RoxyDeluxe from Austria made a deal at the start of the heads-up play, with RoxyDeluxe receiving $85,216 and 69FABIAN69 receiving $80,668, with $20,000 left to play for.

69FABIAN69 doubled up twice, and once he got the lead he didn't let it out of his hands. In the final hand, RoxyDeluxe raised it up on the button, 69FABIAN69 jammed, and RoxyDeluxe called it off with Q8 suited, while 69FABIAN69 held the A5 offsuit.

RoxyDeluxe picked up a flushdraw on the turn, but couldn't improve, and 69FABIAN69 was finally able to rest after what must have been a grueling half-day at the tables.
