EPT100 - Record number of entrants in the ESPT, Ryan Fee leading the €50,000 Super High Roller

The Main Event of the Estrellas Poker Tour set the record of being the biggest poker tournament ever to be organized outside of the USA, and the €50,000 Super High Roller is also the biggest SHR held in Barcelona.

The ESPT Day 1C attracted a crowd of 1249 players, the tournament started with a full house and had over 500 people join from the waitlist later on.

There were plenty of big names in the tournament, for example the current national hero, Spaniard Andoni Larrabe. Larrabe is the first Spanish player ever to reach the WSOP Main Event final table. Sadly, he has to wait until November to make a big splash, he busted in a AK vs. KK cooler.

At the end of the day 430 people were left standing, the chipleader being Swedish player Emma Wikberg with 268,200 chips. Day 2 will start with 800 players.

Besides ESPT Day 1C the €50,000 EPT Super High Roller has also started, and it became the biggest SHR to be ever held in Barcelona. 56 players entered and there were 15 re-entries.
