WSOP Asia Pacific 2014 - Everything you need to know

The 2014 WSOP APAC is starting in less than two weeks and with 10 events when you can win a gold bracelet. Besides the prestigious AU$10,000 Main Event there will be a AU$25,000 High Roller event which is expected to draw a big crowd.

Last year, both Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu won a bracelet in Australia. Ivey won a bracelet in the mix games event beating a field of 81 players and winning $51,480. Daniel Negreanu was at this final table aswell, but he had to wait until the Main Event to win his bracelet, as well as more than AU$1 million.

Negreanu has a chance for back-to-back wins, not just in the Main Event, but in the WSOP Player of the Year race aswell.

The two players who are currently leading the hunt are Brandon Shack-Harris and not far behind him two-time bracelet winner and PokerStars Team Pro, George Danzer. John Hennigan, winner of this year's $50,000 Poker Players Championship, Daniel Negreanu, Daniel Colman and Justin Bonomo all still have a chance to win, so the final 10 events of the WSOP 2014 are bound to bring some excitement.

The winner of the leaderboard will get a $10,000 seat into the 2015 WSOP Main Event, as well as have their pictures immortalized inside the Rio Casino in Las Vegas.

There will be plenty of non-traditional tournaments, like Dealer's Choice and Terminator No-Limit Holdem, but the usual 8-game mix and the Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments are not missing either. Check out the whole schedule here.
