Darren ''DooshCom'' Woods jailed for 15 months for online poker cheating

WSOP bracelet winner Darren ''DooshCom'' Woods has to pay £1 million and go to jail for 15 months after a Sheffield judge decided he is guilty of multi-accounting and cheating at online poker tables.

Back in 2011 Fixed Limit specialist jama-dharma started a topic on the 2+2 forums where he claimed that WSOP bracelet winner Darren ''DooshCom'' Woods was multiaccounting on the 888Poker network. The topic was signed by several big winner regulars who claimed that Woods was multiaccounting in the $500-$1000 3-4 Push or Fold tables.

His strategy involved sitting in with two accounts to the tables, making it look like one of the players was playing really bad to draw other regulars to the game. Once the regulars were in the game he used the advantages of knowing several hole cards to win huge sums of money from his opponents.

According to the charges DooshCom also used this technique on the iPoker network, his victims included Full Tilt regular and Fix Limit specialist Julius ''Kagome Kagome'' Fleischer.

The players sent all of their claims, graphs, statistics, hand histories and more to the room and a criminal process was started soon after.

Woods has denied the claims for a long time but pleaded guilty once a big amount of evidence against him surfaced.

The court in Sheffield sentenced Woods to 15 months in prison and he also has to pay a £1 million compensation to his victims.

As a side effect of his actions, Woods has pretty much removed himself from the poker world forever, his lawyer said that he won't be welcome at any live poker tournaments or online sites.

The victims claim that the amount stolen by Woods accounts to more than the £1 million that he had to pay out.
