Brian Hastings wins $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship for $239,000, wins more than double in bracelets side bets

Brian "Stinger88" Hastings has won the second WSOP bracelet of his career, defeating a tough final table that included Scott Clements, Max Pescatori and Dan Kelly on his way to winning $239,518. However, Hastings confirmed that he won more than twice the amount of his first place prize in the WSOP bracelet side bets that he made this summer.

Day 3 of Event #27 $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship continued with the 8-handed final table, the chipleader was Brian Hastings.

Hastings managed to increase his chiplead by eliminating Max Pescatori early on and was running over the table.

Pescatori was followed by Semin, Thrower, Cummings and George and Hastings was left with two world-class players and a huge chip lead in 3-handed play.

On Level 24 (25,000-50,000-5,000) Clements doubled up to 130,000, then eliminated Kelly with a straight against a set.

Clements fell behind during heads-up play, in the final hand he was all-in on third street.

Hastings: 2-5/J-8-9-3/x
Clements: A-K/7-8-Q-T/x

Hastings made a diamond flush on fifth street but Clements was drawing to a higher flush. He received an offsuit King on the river however and with that Hastings won the second WSOP title of his career.

Hastings came into this year's World Series extremely confident in his skills and made lots of bracelet bets with fellow pros. He has confirmed that he has won more than twice his first place prize money by winning the title.
