Michael Phelps plays Openface Chinese Poker to prepare for Olympics final

The American swimming legend played Pineapple OFC on his smartphone before the 200m butterfly event to calm himself down.

Michael Phelps became the most successful swimmer of the Rio Olypmics after winning five gold and two silver medals. He defeated talents like Laszlo Cseh, Chad le Clos and Tamas Kenderesi in the 200m butterfly finale after which he said the following: ''This is the last time I swam in this competition and I was very motivated to win this title back. It would be terrible to think how I would have felt if I didn't succeed, I would have been in hell.''

When later asked about the event in NBC Today Show, Phelps told the reporter that he looked for activities in the Olympic village which would relax him and get his mind off the upcoming event.

He played Pineapple OFC before the competition to calm his nerves but unfortunately we have no idea about his results. Phelps is an avid poker player, his first live tournament score came in the 2009 Caesars Palace Classic. He has talked about the possibility of becoming a poker professional after he is done with his sports career and since he announced his retirement after the Rio Olypmics, maybe he will get into it sooner than expected.
