Leon Tsoukernik to sue Aria casino

Interesting news developing in the Matt Kirk - Leon Tsoukernik case. The owner of King's Casino Rozvadov is seeking more than $10M in damages.

Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik

Leon Tsoukernik is a well known participant of the live nosebleed cash games. He hosts regular high stakes games in his casino - home of this year's WSOP Europe - and plays at other locations as well.

He's already being involved in a court battle against Australian cash game pro Matt Kirk after he refused to pay back $2 million Kirk lent him in a high stakes heads-up battle. The two played during this year's World Series of Poker in Aria Casino where Tsoukernik lost a total of $3 million to Kirk. Kirk gave chips to him in increments of $500,000, $500,000, $1 million and $1 million. The judge ruled that the gambling debt is not enforceable but Kirk still tries to get his justice under clames of "fraudalent inducement" and "unjust enrichment".

The two were also involved in big PLO games at PartyPoker, where Kirk was one of the biggest winners while Tsoukernik lost six figures.

Now Leon has filed a lawsuit against Aria Casino claiming that the casino "over-served" him alcohol and also "prevented" his friends to remove him from the table. Tsoukernik also says he was visibly intoxicated, which resulted him to misread his cards several times during the match. He also claims that Kirk was backed in their battles - meaning he sold peaces of his action to others - which he was unaware of.

Do you think the casino was unfair to Leon or is he just trying to find excuses not to pay his debt? Let us know in the comments.
