Steve O'Dwyer is the PCA $50,000 High Roller Champion

With his latest score, the Irish pro catches the 10th spot on the All-Time Money List.

PokerStars Caribbean Adventure reached the third day, with notable tournaments like the $100k SHR and the $50K HR already crowning champions.
The $50,000 High Roller attracted 46 players, who were all aiming for the $769,500 first prize. This time it was high roller regular, Steve O'Dwyer who fulfilled this goal after beating Byron Kaverman heads-up.

Six players made the money, with Orpen Kisacikoglu finishing 6th for $158,420 after putting his extremely short stack to the middle with ♥6♥3 against the ♦J♥2 of Byron Kaverman's.

Third place finisher of last year's WSOP Main Event, Benjamin Pollak became 5th for $203,680. He got pretty unlucky in his busting hand when he called Kaverman's all-in for his tournament life.

The lucky ♠6 on the river sent the Frenchman to the rail, while put Kaverman to the chip lead.

Living legend, Erik Seidel does everything to beat Daniel Negreanu, on the All-Time Money List, where he currently ranks 2nd with $33 million in total earnings. Erik made a $260,260 step ahead after finishing 4th in the event. His ♣K♥4 lost against O'Dwyer's ♦K♣5 on the board of ♦5♦10♥Q ♠J ♦Q.

The founder of Bioderma, Jean-Noel Thorel, didn't only enter the field of the best players in the world, he also managed to make the 3rd place for $339,480. Jean-Noel Got busted when his ♣J♠7 lost to ♠K♣T of Byron's.

Even though he got the lead on the flop, Thorel was already drawing dead when the American pro hit the nuts on the turn. Jean-Noel left the table in style: "Salut! Good luck!"

O'Dwyer started the heads-up with a commanding chip lead to Kaverman and the battle was over in 24 hands. After the dealer dealt the last 9 cards of the tournament, it was Steve, who lifted the trophy and pocketed the $769,500 first place prize.

Final results

The festival is not even close to its end. The Main Event is well underway with 324 players still in. Jean Ateba from Norway leads the field after accumulating 155,500 but there are still many with high hopes for the prestigious trophy and the prize. We'll keep you posted on the progress.
