Online beast takes down PartyPoker LIVE MILLIONS North America
$25K Christopher "Apotheosis92" Kruk defeated Anthony Zinno heads-up to scoop the trophy and the $375,000 coming with it.
As we reported earlier, the most expensive event of the Partypoker MILLIONS North America festival attracted 47 of the best players from all around the world. It was not surprising to see that the final table was loaded with top pros. Partypoker Pro Joao Simao from Brazil, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom from Sweden and UK's Niall "Firaldo" Farrell were all amongst the last 9.
Even though only 7 places were paid, the guys took a quick start, chips were flying from the beginning of the finals. Joao busted in the very first hand when his Jacks ran into the Queens of Chance Kornuth's. The champion of the Partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany Main Event, Viktor Blom was next to go. Viktor started the final table with the second biggest stack but an unsuccessful bluff against Niall, resulted him losing half of his chips which he used to make a big call on the river against Chance, who had the nuts this time.
The bluff gone wrong:

Blom bubbled the event, while the rest were all guaranteed at least a CA$60,000 payday. John Krpan got 7th, when he lost a race against Niall Farell. John was followed by Victor Ramdin, who couldn't manage to connect with the board with his Ace-king against the pocket tens of Kornuth's. Victor earned CA$80,000.
The remaining five needed a couple of hours to finally get down to four. Niall Farrell got pretty short after he lost a huge pot with Ace-king against Zinno, who held pocket Kings. With only a few blinds left, Niall found himself all-in with Ace high, which wasn't good enough against Kornuth's pocket pair. Farrell's performance was good for CA$100,000 this time.
After an unsuccessful bluff, Chance played the awkward role of the short stack. He put his last 12 blinds to the middle with broadways but Kruk's Ace high managed to hold and Kornuth was out in 4th place for CA$125K.
Darren Elias, who was pretty quiet on the final table was finally giving some action when he 4-bet shoved with Tens against Zinno, who called with Ace-Queen. A queen on the flop gave him a huge lead and he was able to hold. Darren left the table, to pick up his well earned CA$165,000.
The heads-up started with about even stacks. The blind levels were reduced to 20 minutes which heated up the action. In the final hand, Zinno opened with pocket sevens from the button and called Kruk's shove. Even though the flop was safe for Anthony, the turn and the river counterfeited his pair and Kruk won the hand, the title and the top prize of CA$375,000.
With this win, Chris increased his live earnings to $2,344,903.
