Scott Seiver wins second WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship

The high-roller regular collected $296K after beating Matt Szymaszek in the heads-up.

The elite event attracted a total of 114 players, who created a prize pool of $1,071,600 with 18 places paid. Many well-known pros reached the money, with John Hennigan finishing in 16th place for $14,615, Brock Parker in 14th for $17K, Maria Ho in 12th for $20,253, Nick Schulman in 11th, while three-time bracelet winner Benny Glaser in 10th for the same amount.

The official final table of nine saw Ken Deng busting first when his pocket kings couldn't manage to hold against the Ace-nine of Christopher Chung. Deng walked away with $24,700. Q♠ Q♥ Q♣ Q♦

Michael "Big Store" Moore was the next one out when he got his last chips in against Chung with pocket fives, which was way behind the sixes of Christopher on the 4♣2♠T♣ flop. Michael's 8th place worthed $30,821. Daniel Zack got coolered when his pocket Jacks ran into the Kings of Matt Glantz's on a 2♠2♣4♦6♦3♦ board. Zack earned $39,239 with his 7th place.

Matt Glantz had another victim shortly after. He busted Charlotteville's Philip Cordano, who got 6th for $68,382. Despite successfully busting two players, Glantz returned with only 350,000 in chips from the dinner break and wasted no time to use those chips. Unfortunately for him, Scott Seiver flopped huge with J♦T♦ on the T♠8♦7♦ flop against his A♥Q♦ and managed to hold on a brick runout. Glantz was out of the tournament to pick up his well-earned $68,352.

The good-run eventually ended for Christopher Chung, who was down to his last 215,000 when got into a big hand against Zinno and Szymaszek. Despite holding the best hand before the flop with pocket fives, he was drawing pretty slim on the 9♦7♦Q♥ flop against Zinno' K♣Q♠ and neither the turn nor the river helped him out. He busted in 4th place for $93K.

The time has come for Zinno shortly after, when he got it in on the turn with Q♠T♠ against the Q♣3♥ of Seiver's on a board which read 9♣3♠6♥6♣. No miracle happened in this hand either, meaning Zinno was busted in 3rd place for $129,186.

Even though Matt started the heads-up as the chip leader, Scott managed to turn things around by winning a few key pots and finally took down the whole thing for his second WSOP gold and $296,222. Szymaszek, the limit hold'em specialist, from Massachusetts, received a $193,081 consolation prize for his runner-up finish.
