WPT Seminole Hard Rock Gets Down to Final Six
Pavel Plesuv will return as the chip leader, while Ravi Raghavan is looking for his second title.
The $3,500 Main Event generated a total of 898 entries, who created a prize pool of $2,873,600, with $504,820 for the winner. Moldovese Pavel Plesuv is in the lead after four days of poker with a stack of 10,920,000. Pavel is followed by US-pro Jim Gilbert, who accumulated 8,655,000.
Several well-known players reached the 113-entry strong money with high-stakes-pro Ben Yu and controversial Youtuber, Marle Cordeiro finishing 77th and 76th respectively for $7,285. High-roller crusher, David Peters got 51st for $9,895, while former WSOP Main Event champion, Joe McKeehen busted in 37th place for $12,955.
Only 14 players returned for Day 4 to decide the final six. Pavel dominated the day, scoring several knockouts. He busted Major League Soccer player, Brent Kallman in 8th place amongst others. The defender of the Minnesota United FC added $62,110 to his winnings.
Kallman exits the tournament
Not surprisingly, Pavel finished on the top of the leaderboard, and he's lead is pretty comfortable, considering that only Gilbert has a chip stack over 100 big blinds.
Final table chip counts:
Seat 1. Christopher Kennedy - 3,800,000 (48 bb)
Seat 2. Jim Gilbert - 8,655,000 (108 bb)
Seat 3. Pavel Plesuv - 10,920,000 (137 bb)
Seat 4. Jeremy Joseph - 5,045,000 (63 bb)
Seat 5. Ravi Raghavan - 1,320,000 (17 bb)
Seat 6. Marius Gierse - 6,180,000 (77 bb)
All of the remaining six players are guaranteed for a $103,310 payout but the $504,820 first prize probably motivates all of them to bring their 'A' game to the table. The action will continue at 12 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
