Justin Bonomo keeps on crushing - this time online
The most winningest player in the history of the game took down a major online MTT for $192K.
Justin Bonomo has been crushing for years, enjoying an incredible hot streak for more than a year now. Last year alone, he earned about $25 million playing high-roller tournaments around the globe.
The 33-year-old US pro has accumulated $43,996,459 during his career, but he apparently has no interest in slowing down. He already has two six-figure scores from 2019, both coming from the PCA.
Now Justin decided to enjoy the comfort of his home while playing and entered the Turbo Series 54: $5,200 NLHE 8-Max High Roller Turbo on PokerStars, an event which generated a total of 194 entries with a $970,000 prize pool. Bonomo managed to outlast the field, triumphing over the toughest MTT players in the world.
The final table of eight was made up of the most feared names of the game. Each of them locked up at least $32,571. The first player to busted was Orpen “OrpTheTurk” Kisacikoglu. Orpen was followed by Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver who added $41,979 to his bankroll.
Netherlands' Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford exited in 6th place, good for $54,105, while Canada's “skitzo333” received $69,734 after finishing 5th. The next player to be departed was Manuel “fellatiado” Ruivo making $89,877 for his efforts.
“elmerixx” is no stranger to big final tables
Justin had to face two online tournament specialists in the three-handed period. Austria's “WATnlos” and Finland's Tomi “elmerixx” Brouk are both regulars of the online MTTs.
However, he managed to outlast the two specialists and after “WATnlos” leaving in third place for $115,839 “elmerixx” had to settle for 2nd place, which was good for $149,300 this time.
With this win, Justin raked in $192,427 which may seem like a drop of the ocean for a player of his caliber, but is certainly a nice payday for a Sunday grind.
