Who will be the 2019 Main Event champion?

There are only three players left in contention for the $10 Million top prize in the Main Event.

The 50th edition of the World Series of Poker is almost in the books. The biggest poker stage in the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino attracted tens of thousands of gamblers from all around the world, creating massive fields and huge prize pools.

The most prestigious event of all, the $10,000 Main Event will end today, there are only three players left. Even though the $4 million payout is already guaranteed for them, the huge pay jumps ($6 million for the runner up, $10 million for the champion) make the finals the tensest days in the whole year.

Yesterday, it was Kevin Maahs, who fell first, he exited in 5th place for $2,200,000. He was followed by fan-favorite, Garry Gates, who received a paycheck of $3,000,000 for his 4th-place-finish.

The three lucky players, who still have a shot at the bracelet and the life-changing score, are Germany's Hossein Ensan, who has more than 63% of the chips in play, making him huge favorite over Canada's Alex Livingston, who has 120,400,000 (about 60 big blinds), and Italy's Dario Sammartino, who will return as the shortest stack, with his 67,600,000.

Despite the chip-deficit, Livingston is pretty optimistic about the end-game. "Just to make the last day of the Main Event is pretty cool. As for my chip position, I have tons of big blinds to work with. So, I don't really care how many chips Hossein has. He has a ton of chips which is great for him. But, it's gonna be a long day tomorrow because we're all pretty deep. Today obviously went about as well as I could have asked for," as he explained at the end of the last day.

Ensan had a comfy ride at the final table so far

There is 1:32:05 remaining in Level 40 (1,000,000/2,000,000, with a 2,000,000-big blind ante). The final three players will return at 5.30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 16th.
