Omaha4rollz takes down €25,000 Single-Day High Roller II

The Hungarian online crusher booked his biggest ever score at the EPT Barcelona.

After 15 hours of poker, it was Hungary's László 'omaha4rollz' Bujtás, who claimed the title and the modest €712,810 coming with it in the second edition of the €25K Single-Day High Roller event. Local Juan Pardo managed to get 4th for €259,240 after taking down two high-rollers earlier this week. It's safe to say the homecourt advantage played in his favor.

The tournament saw a total of 118 entries, and a prize pool of €2,833,180. The top 17 spots were paid, the min-cash worthed €44,480 this time. Uruguay's Francisco Benitez and Japan's Hiroshi Nishiyama were the two players, who made this amount after finishing 17th and 16th respectively. Two household names, Christopher Soyza and Daniel Dvoress followed them both earning €46,750. After the elimination of Gackt, Tsugunari Toma, Jean-Noel Thorel, and Job Greben, the final table of 9 was set.

Alex Komaromi was in a tough spot, having only a few big blinds, and he couldn't get anything going. He busted in 9th place, good for €70,830. Komaromi was followed by online high-stakes regular Jorryt 'thecleaner11' van Hoof, who added another €94,910 to his bankroll with his eight-place finish.

Taiwanese James Chen started the final table as one of the chip leaders but after losing several hands, he was busted by Bujtás and had to settle for 7th place and €126,080. Spaniard Sergio Aido was next to go when he ran into Charlie "f*ck GTO" Carrel's sevens, holding sixes.

With five players remaining, the friends supporting them got a bit overexcited and were eventually asked to leave the room. They had to wait for the fiesta.

Steven van Zadelhoff had the opportunity to join them, as he busted with ace-queen against the ace-king of Pedro Marques'.

The four-handed play lasted for a while, with each players shoving several times. Eventually, it was Juan Pardo, who fell short, leaving in 4th place. After taking down two high-rollers a few days ago, he now increased his 2019 EPT Barcelona winnings to more than €1.75 million.

Boys having fun

Portuguese Pedro Marques became Bujtás' victim in the three-handed play and left the Hungarian and Carrel battle it out.

Starting as the 4.5-1 chip leader, László was able to close things out rather quickly, busting Charlie in just a few hands. In the final one, he shoved with king-jack and manage to hold against king-six.

Even though he's used to high-stakes, playing the biggest PLO cash games online, this record score was a sweet one for 'omaha4rollz'. "I'm usually playing cash games, so yeah, this one feels good," he said after the victory.
