Top Poker Series Events in 2021

After taking a break for a year, poker events are scheduled to return in 2021.

While the pandemic is still playing havoc with live events, the series is looking to get out of the casino and head online to keep all players and spectators safe. Fortunately, that will be the only significant change as there will still be rankings, leader boards, and 13 live events with prize money and gold rings up for grabs.

Fans and competitors can use the WSOP.com website to witness all of the events, including the four super circuit specials. Whether you’re a casual player or a professional card shark, there are going to be some events you’re not going to want to miss in 2021. Here are just some of the competitions you need to make sure that you mark in your calendar.

WSOP Gold Bracelet Event

The main event of the series will see 256 of the world’s best poker players competing for a prize pool of $250,000. Eligibility into this event is not a guarantee. Players will need to win a gold ring in the 2021 season, $10,000 player of the month leader board, second fast forward event, or be one of the top fifty players on the circuit.

Monthly Second Chance Fast Forward

Compete in at least four tournaments without qualifying for a championship event, and you’ll still have the opportunity to make some money. You’ll be able to compete in what’s called a “winner takes all” freeroll where you’ll win the chance to compete at the end of year championship event and try to walk home with $250,000.

WSOP Circuit Stars Monthly Freeroll

You won’t need to wait until the end of the year to make some bank. Every tournament event will include a $25,000 freeroll for the top performers. These smaller competitions will only feature players who can win a gold ring event or are in the top ten in the tournament festival's leader board. Those who miss out can continue to watch via the URL, which will be a lot more comfortable viewing from home than standing for hours in a casino.

WSOP Circuit Player of the Month

Place yourself in the top ten of the WSOP Circuit Series Leader Board, and there’s an opportunity to end the month on a high. There’s a chance to win a share of $10,000 in tournament tickets and compete in a $25,000 monthly freeroll. Finishing first has its perks as well. You’ll earn yourself a seat at the table for the year-end championship event to compete for the prize pool of $250,000.
