Johnny Chan Seems to Be Back

Despite endless criticism on behalf of his younger fellow players regarding his age and ’obsolete’ game style, Johnny Chan is once again among the top dogs after Day 4 of the WSOP Main Event.

Winner of 10 WSOP bracelets, two of them being Main Event victories, Chan finished #13 after Day 4 with a handsome stack of 1,159,000. Chan got seated on Day 5 at table 347, with participants like 2 WSOP bracelet winner Brandon ’The Bounty Hunter’ Cantu:

Michael Maitre (357,000)
Anton Nikaj (175,000)
Andrew Jeter (51,000)
Steven Mcloughlin (444,000)
Javier Martinez (498,000)
Thomas James Hunt III (242,000)
Brandon Cantu (196,000)
Danilo De Araujo (314,000)

It seems Chan refreshed his knowledge of poker and now he wants to demand some respect from the haters by finishing at the final table. He stated that he does have such plans in mind and although things and palyers have changed a lot during his two decades in the game, he seems to have a solid chance to make these dreams come true.
