Unibet Open Prague – Henri Ojala is the Champion

The Prague stop of the Unibet Open series (advertised by the beautiful host Tatjana – video below) has ended with a young Finnish poker player gaining victory, with the most well-known player Jan Skampa taking 3rd place.

424 players enrolled in the €1,500+€150 Main Event of Unibet Open Prague, making the total prize pool a nice €629,640.

The biggest names registering to the tournament included Sorel Mizzi, Jan Skampa, Pieter de Kover, Peter Dalhuijsen, Dan Glimne, Sergey Rybachenko, Zdenek Habala, Jordan Mitrentzova, the Golden Sands winner Dan Murariu and last year’s winner Fuat Caan.

Also, there were some magnificent dealer ladies to be seen, whose help was definitely necessary for Ojala to be able to win the tourney. Smile

Skampa, the favorite, finally managed to take place 3, by going re-raise all-in to the shortstack Michal Maryska’s preflop all-in, getting called by Ojala. Maryska showed a pocket pair, Nines, Skampa had AK, and the winning hand, no other than an AQ, was Ojala’s.

After that, Ojala had no trouble beating the last remaining player Nino Ryschawy. The last hand saw Ojala’s pocket Sixes beat Ryschawy’s AJ, after neutral cards came on the board.
