The Hungarian grinder outlasted a field of one hundred to take down his biggest ever score.
The highest buy-in event of the ongoing Spring Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars attracts the best players both from the live and online scene. It was no wonder to see the usual suspects in the field, some of them even re-entering one or two times.
Five of the current top 10 online tournament specialists attended the event, as well as high-roller regulars, with the likes of Bryn Kenney, Mustapha Kanit or Ike Haxton. The online cash game end bosses couldn't miss the party either, Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger, "limitless" or "mikki696" were all amongst the participants.
The field reduced to 13 on the first day, with all players locking up at least $53,000 which looks like a huge number but considering that some of the remaining players entered two or even three times, for some of them the min-cash still meant a loss. Bryn Kenney, who ended up with the smallest prize, made a $3,000 profit in the tournament, which makes for a pretty accurate ROI for him in this field.

Belarussian "Grisha813" got 12th for $63K, while Russian "Black88" and "hello_totti" (who is the 2nd ranked online tournament player currently) busting in 11th and 10th place for the same amount. The next player out was high-stakes cash game pro, "limitless", who allegedly grinds the nosebleed games in Macau, when not crushing online. The former handball player got 9th for $75K.
He was followed by the legendary Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, who has been exploring the live tournament scene, with great success [4] lately. Viktor bagged $90,590.75. Italy's "ROFLshove" was the first player to hit a six-figure score, as he received $117K for his 7th place finish. Mike "SirWatts" Watson left the table at 6th place and $153,683.75. Germany's high-roller wunderkind, Ole "wizowizo" Schemion earned a cool $200K for finishing 5th after entering the tournament two times.
In the 4-handed period, "probirs" had a huge chip lead, he was sitting on a stack of 17 million, while "RomeOpro", "huang33" and "RuiNF" only had 7.7 million combined. As expected, he used his big stack to terrorize the table. The latter finally decided to move in with his short stack from the small blind and Andras called from the big.
The board didn't help out the Dutch and he had to settle for a sad $260K compensation prize. After this, "RomeOpro" busted "huang33", when his As5s beat the KcQd of his opponent's, so the heads-up play started between the 12th and the 6th ranked players.
Even though "RomeOpro", managed two double up twice to close the gap - at some point it was only 15 million to 11 million for probirs' favour, the Hungarian finally managed to end things when he moved all-in from the button with Ad5d and managed to hit a pair of fives to outdraw the Ah6s of RomeO's.

Andras "probirs" Nemeth has been around the high-stakes scene for a long time now, constantly bringing huge scores in the online tournament business and in the meantime battling in the highest-stakes NL and PLO cash games. With this $576K payday, his total online tournament earnings are now up to $8,269,056, while he also has almost $1 million in live cashes.
