As we reported earlier [3], the $3,500 Main Event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino attracted a total of 898 players.
The thirty-year-old player was dominating Day 4, busting several of his opponents, and entered the final six as the chip leader. The great run continued for him at the final table as well, busting all but one of his peers.
The first casualty of the final table was Ravi Raghavan, who was looking for taking down his second WPT title, but unfortunately busted in only two hands. He put his last chips into the middle holding Ace-jack, which failed to beat the Ace-king of Marius Gierse's.
After the bust out of Ravi, Pavel turned up the speed and busted out everybody, sitting around the table - except the dealer. First, he eliminated Chris Kennedy then went on to bust Gierse as well. Third-place went to Jeremy Joseph, who also fell at the hands of Pavel's, meaning the latter could start the heads-up, against Jim Gilbert with a 6-1 lead.

Despite the huge deficit, Jim managed to hang in for 69 hands but eventually had to settle for 2nd place, when he lost a flip with nines against the Ace-jack of Plesuv's.
Gilbert earned $326,565 for his runner-up finish, while the champion added $504,820 to his winnings.

“It feels really awesome because I was heads-up three years ago at the WPT in Prague with a big lead and I lost it heads-up. So, I’m pretty excited to come back and win,” said Pavel after his victory.
This is the best year so far,” he added. “It started with a win in February and I’m finishing the year with a win here, and maybe I’ll win something in December. We’ll see, but this is awesome. I’ve been running pretty good.”
Indeed, his 2018 has been outstanding so far, making more than $2.5 million this year alone. He's the most accomplished player of Moldova with more than $4 million in total earnings. The 30-year-old, currently residing in the Czech Republic, booked his biggest score ($924,841) this February, when he finished 2nd in the Partypoker [5] MILLIONS Germany Main Event, after getting hero called [6] by Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom in the final hand.
He also managed to take down a $3,500 event at the DeepStack Championship Poker Series for $640,062 and got second in the $10,400 event at the Bellagio Cup XIV for $342,833.
