The richest poker tournament in history is getting closer!

The £1,050,000 Triton Million is an invitational event, with wealthy businessmen and a small group of elite players in the mix.

The Triton Super Series has become the biggest and most prestigious high-roller tournament high-roller series in the world. The tournaments are filled with wealthy businessmen, which obviously attract the pros, creating huge prize pools and massive fields.

While they already organized several massive festivals, with six- or even seven-figure buy-ins, the upcoming Triton Million will go down as the biggest poker tournament in the history.

The tournament will be running from August 1 to 3 in Hilton Hotel's Grand Ballroom, London. There are several rules which make the tournament even more exciting, including dress codes and strict invitational rules.

The field will be half businessmen/recreation player half pro/guest player, with each participant, who fall into the first category inviting one player of the latter. The guests/pros are put on a waiting list and the businessmen can pick their partner. Invited players need to put down a £50,000 deposit to secure their seats and must complete their registration payments to the total buy-in amount of £1,050,000 prior to the start of the festival. The deposits are non-refundable and will be donated to charity even if a player doesn't show up.

Part of the line-up

Recreationals and professionals will be seated separately until the end of Level 6, when a new seat draw will take place, balancing the invitational holders (aka the businessmen) and the Guests (pros). At the end of Day 1, a new seat draw will take place completely random this time.

Unlike the usual high-rollers, the Triton Million prohibits players to cover any part of their body from their necks up. Scarves, funnel neck shirts, sunglasses and hats/caps are also prohibited. The only exception is the final table, where players are allowed to wear sunglasses.

Several invited businessmen and their guests have already been confirmed and not surprisingly the highest of rollers found their way to the tournament. See the list of the participants below:
