WSOPE to return in October

The European version of the most prestigious poker festival returns in October in King's Casino, Rozvadov.

The WSOPE debuted in 2007 in London, then after a few years found its new home in Cannes then relocated in Enghien-Les-Bains, only to move to Berlin in 2015. In 2017 the WSOP teamed up with Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of the famous Checz casino, and it saw a warm welcome by the community, so it's no surprise to see the event coming back to the same venue this year. It looks like the event is returning to the original, yearly format.

"We have long searched for a great venue and host for WSOP Europe and we believe we’ve finally found it,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart in the press release. “King’s Casino has been a terrific host and with their expansion complete, we’re pleased to commit to holding WSOP Europe annually each October in Rozvadov.”

The schedule is yet to be released, all we know now is the festival will run between October 11 and November 2, offering 10 bracelet events.

"By all measures our inaugural WSOP Europe was a great success," said Leon. "Now that King’s Casino is firmly established as Europe’s most popular poker venue, we have doubled down and have made a bigger commitment to bring WSOP Europe to Rozvadov annually." - he added.

Last year saw 529 players entering the Main Event with Marti Roca de Torres coming out on top [4], to win the €1,115,207 prize and the gold bracelet.

King's Casino is the number one poker hub in Europe, offering many cash game tables and most of the biggest tournaments in the world. The place has been one of the favorite spots for pros, so we would put our money on a long and successful cooperation between the WSOP and the Checz gambling Mecca.
