The Nominees for the Women in Poker Hall of Fame Are Here

Seven female poker players have been nominated for the 2010 Women in Poker Hall of Fame [3] this year, two of which will be chosen into the Hall of Fame in September.

On the list, we can find current well-known poker players along with older celebrities and poker legends. Here they are:

Betty Carey: An older poker player, known for her excessive beauty, her aggressive playing style and her .357 Magnum.

Phyllis Caro: A poker pioneer since 1979. She used to be a dealer, and currently is the manager of poker operations in Hollywood Park, California. She has helped her husband Mike Caro in writing countless poker books.

Nani Dollison: A South Korean poker pro. She won her first WSOP bracelet in 2001 and has cashed around $800,000 during her career.

Annie Duke: A poker player of the new era. Her tournament winnings exceed $4 million. She also has a bracelet, gained by winning the $2K Omaha Hi/Lo WSOP Event.

Jennifer Harman: A high-stakes TV poker celebrity, who has won more than $2 million throughout her career. She is the only woman ever to have won 2 WSOP bracelets.

Kathy Liebert: The most successful female tournament player of all times, with her career winnings since 1994 exceeding $5 million.

Joanne 'JJ' Liu: A poker professional from Taiwan, the proud owner of a WPT title, $2,3 million in tournament winnings, and a well-known cash game player as well.

The voting will be open until 15th July, and two of the nominees will be entered into the Hall of Fame this September.
