Cooperation Between Playdom and WSOP

According to the Games.com Blog [6], in a world of brands developing their promotional games, re-branding an existing application is far from usual. Nevertheless, with Facebook being crammed with poker-related games, it seems to be a wise decision not to introduce yet another one into the market, not to mention the difficulty of building up a community around a new game. The merge provides a solid base instead and also helps Playdom popularise their application with the venerable brand.

PokerNewsDaily.com [7] reported that players will be provided a number of game types, e.g. single-table play money, virtual cash games, single-table tournaments, etc. However, all variations are “»play money« only, but players can win WSOP branded virtual goods and receive chances to enter contests awarding prizes that include trips to Las Vegas and seats at WSOP events.”
