$40,000 pot results in fight in a New Orleans cardroom

One of the players at the Harrah's New Orleans cardroom lost a $40,000 pot at a Pot Limit Omaha table and decided to handle his frustration by attacking the winner of the hand. What follows is an epic counter that sees the aggressor get thrown head-first into a wall, amongst other things.

The details of the story are not exactly clear, but this is what 2+2 forum member boredoo reported about the situation:

"The story as I understand it is that the man in the red shirt won a $40,000 PLO hand. The loser of the hand sent a goon to attack the winner of the hand at the table. Winner of the hands gets hit, but stays calm. The goon comes back and hits him again, and the winner of the hand defends himself and, in so many words, kicks the **** out of the goon right at the table.

Chips were flying across the table. Security nightmare. I hope everyone at the table was able to recover their full and accurate chip stacks.

I also wonder what Harrah's will do to the winner of the hand. From the video it seems like he handled the initial assault well, and defended himself after the second assault. Security did nothing (I don't know if security is supposed to be involved in fights, anyhow). Will there be a punishment for the hand winner?".

Most posters agree that however Harrah's decides to handle the situation, the blame lies on the attacker and the seemingly non-existent security staff.
