Changes on the European Poker Tour

The EPT recently announced a list of small/medium changes to the series that will go into action with the launch of Season 12 next week in Barcelona. The first card of the deck rule has been removed, laptops are now allowed at the table and several events will be played with four-color decks.

• Final undisclosed EPT location of Season 12 will be released during the Barcelona festival
• New tables with USB charging stations in every position for easier charging of electronic devices
• €5,000 and €500 non-NLHE events at every stop
• Sextuple Omaha, Quintple Stud, Quintuple Draw, Splitsville Dealer's Choice, High Hand Hold'em, Allin or Fold, Big Bet Mix, Dealer's Choice HORSE and other new tournaments/tournament formats
• 6 Card Omaha, Texas Hold'em Hi/Lo and Super Stud events to be played with four-color decks
• Set schedule for High Roller/Super High Roller events. 3-day HR/SHR at the beginning of the festival, 1-day HR/SHR on Day 1B of the Main Event, 3-day 10k/25k High Roller on Day 4/5 of the Main Event
• Laptops are now allowed at the table, power chords are still not
• First card of the deck rule removed, players hand will only be considered dead if they are not at their seat when the final card is dealt to the dealer.
• Periscope, Meerkat, Nomadcast and other recording/streaming applications are no longer allowed at the tables
