EPT Berlin Robbery Mastermind Sentenced for 6 Years in Prison

Ibrahim al Moussa, the mastermind between the EPT Berlin robbery that took place in 2010 has been sentenced to 6 years and 4 months of jail yesterday. At the 2010 EPT Berlin, 4 masked gunmen attacked the cashier and managed to escape with €245,000. Police arrested the suspects rather quickly, 6 persons were taken into custody; the 4 robbers and the two organizers, Mohammed Abou-Charka and Ibrahim al Moussa. Abou-Charka played in the tournament, to provide his associates with internal information, while al Moussa drove the vehicle they used to escape.

The trial of Abou-Charka and al Moussa started in 2010, but according to bz-berlin.de, in the case of al Moussa, the Jury accepted the proposed 6 years 4 months sentence for armed robbery proposed by the attorney.

Al Moussa's lawyer argued that it was the biggest mistake in the defendant's life, and he regretted his actions since, and also repaid €22,000 since the robbery. The rest of the money has still not yet been found.

Abou-Charka's case will be dealt with separately, in his trial there is no sentence yet.
