EPT Deauville - Ognyan Dimov wins Main Event for €543,000
Dany Parlafes started the finale of the EPT Deauville with a huge chiplead, but Bulgarian player Ognyan Dimov managed to climb back and defeat him during heads-up play to claim the EPT title and €543,000.
The final table of the EPT Deauville started with the massive chiplead of Dany Parlafes, who had a 126 big blind stack, the second biggest stack, Ognyan Dimov only had 57 big blinds.
Seat 1. Benjamin Pollak - 1.670.000
Seat 2. Andrius Bielskis - 1.680.000
Seat 3. Dany Parlafes - 7.580.000
Seat 4. Ognyan Dimov - 3.405.000
Seat 5. Benjamin Buhr - 2.575.000
Seat 6. Joseph Carlino - 875.000
Play started on Level 28 (30,000/60,000-10,000 ante), Carlino busted in the first hand after his A-K suited couldn't improve against Bielskis' J-J.
Bielskis couldn't keep his momentum going, he busted the final table in the 17th hand after he re-shoved with A-3 from the big blind against Buhr's button raise. Unfortunately for him, Buhr had A-A and his hand held up to send Bielskis packing in fifth.
The next player to bust was Benjamin Pollak. During Level 30 (50,000-100,000-10,000 ante) Parafles flopped the nuts with A-K on a Q-J-T board, and with the turn 9, Pollak's K-7 also improved to a straight. The two players got the last of the chips after a Ten hit the river, Parafles increased his stack to 11.585 million with this pot.
Buhr busted not much later after running A-K into Dimov's A-A.
Dany Parlafes - 11.390.000
Ognyan Dimov - 6.375.000
Dimov managed to overcome his chip disadvantage during heads-up play and began Level 33 (100,000-200,000-30,000 ante) with a 2-1 lead, and all the money went in soon after.
Dimov showed down A-J of hearts while Parlafes had A-K of clubs. The board came Q-3-6-3-J with two hearts and Dimov won the biggest score of his career.
