Full 2015 WSOP schedule released - 11 new events and increased starting stacks

Caesars Entertainment has released the official schedule for the 2015 World Series of Poker which contains 68 bracelet events including several completely new events including a $1,000 Hyper Turbo and the first ever online bracelet.

As we have previously reported, the WSOP has changed the payouts of the $10,000 Main Event to attract more players. If at least 5,000 players enter, the top 1,000 finishers will cash and if the number of entrants exceed last years number (6,683) then all nine players at the final table will be guaranteed $1 million.

The Main Event will run between July 5 - July 14 and the final table will play out in November.

There are a total of 11 new events in the schedule:

Event #5: $565 Colossus No-Limit Hold’em (May 29-June 2)

Event #6: $1,000 Hyper No-Limit Hold’em (May 31-June 1)

Event #42: $1,500 Extended Play No-Limit Hold’em (June 20-23)

Event #43: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em (June 21-23)

Event #53: $5,000 Turbo No-Limit Hold’em (June 26-28)

Event #55: $1,500 DraftKings 50/50 No-Limit Hold’em (June 27-29)

Event #60: $25,000 High Roller 8-handed PL Omaha (June 29-July 2)

Event #62: $1,500 Bounty No-Limit Hold’em (July 1-3)

Event #64: $1,000 WSOP.com Online No-Limit Hold’em (July 2-3)

Event #65: $777 Lucky 7’s No-Limit Hold’em (July 3-5)

Event #67: $10,000 Dealer’s Choice (July 3-5)

The $565 Colossus and the $777 Lucky 7's are the first bracelet events with less than $1,000 buy-in in the history of the WSOP. The Colossus has a huge, $5 million guarantee and many expect it to be the biggest WSOP event ever with 10,000-15,000 entrants.

Players who love fast action have the $1,000 Hyper NLHE and the $5,000 Turbo NLHE to look foward to, and players who like to have more play can enter the $1,500 Extended Play NLHE event.

In the $1,500 DraftKings 50/50 event fifty percent of the players will cash, while in the $1,500 Bounty NLHE players will win $500 every time they knock a player out.

The Dealer's Choice event will return but with an increased, $10,000 buy-in which qualifies it to be a so called "Championship" event, of which there are 14 in the schedule.

The $1,000 Super Seniors event is restricted for players over the age of 65 but the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship also returns.

One of the most interesting new events in the schedule is the first ever online tournament which will begin on WSOP.com on July 2, and the final two players will meet at the Rio to play out the heads-up.

The Millionaire Maker, the Monster Stack, the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop and the $1,111 Little One for One Drop also return.

The starting stacks for events which have a buy-in less than $10,000 have also been increased and new blind levels (250/500 and 2,500/5,000) have been also introduced. For buy-ins of $1,000 over the startings stacks have been increased by 66% from 2014.

$565 buy-in: 5,000 starting chips (10x buy-in, just like in the 2014 Monster Stack event)

$777 buy-in: 5,000 starting chips  – 100 big blinds

$1,000 buy-in: 5,000 starting chips – 100 big blinds

$1,500 buy-in: 7,500 starting chips – 150 big blinds

$2,500 buy-in: 12,500 starting chips – 167 big blinds

$3,000 buy-in: 15,000 starting chips – 200 big blinds

$5,000 buy-in: 25,000 starting chips – 250 big blinds
