Gus Hansen goes on $600,000 upswing at the FLO8 tables

Gus Hansen won $636,000 yesterday after losing $272,000 earlier in the week. The Danish pro battled Alex ''Alexonmoon'' Luneau at the FLO8 tables and won $528,000 from the French pro.

Gus Hansen is probably the most frequent name in our high stakes reports, but most of the times he can be found on the biggest losers column, as of today he has lost more than $20 million on his Full Tilt screenname, and has lost a staggering $5.2 million this year alone.

Gus started off Saturday by winning $108,000 from Carlooo13 (who is likely to be Ravenswood13 on PokerStars), making him a $41,000 winner for the day. On Sunday he started to play Fix Limit Omaha 8-or-Better (FLO8) against 2-7 Triple Draw regular Alexonmoon. Alexonmoon was recently one of the main characters of the French poker documentary NOSEBLEED, which showed Alexonmoon and fellow high stakes pro Sebastien ''Seb86'' Sabic crushing the high stakes 2-7 Triple Draw and Mixed Games tables.

Seb86 and Alexonmoon saw Gus as such a soft spot in the games that they would schedule their lives around Gus' appereance at the tables, they used to sleep with an opened laptop set on maximum volume so they could wake up right away when the Great Dane hit the tables, so what came next was a pretty big surprise.

First, Gus won almost $82,000 in 50 minute session on Sunday Morning in 107 hands, but the big hit came later on, when Hansen won $446,000 from Alexonmoon in a 6.5 hour, 729 hand session, making Gus a $528,000 winner for the day and up $636,000 in the past few days.

The only other player who made a six-figure score yesterday was PokerStars player AckmaJin who won $122,000 in the $100/$200 PLO games where he played against the likes of Ike Haxton, Ilari ''Ilari FIN'' Sahamies, Ravenswood13 and Jeans89.
