iPoker network to launch Six-Plus Hold'em

Last year 10-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and Tom ''durrrr'' Dwan released a promotional video aimed at the Asian market where they talked about Six-Plus Hold'em, a popular poker variant played with 36 cards. The iPoker network decided to start spreading the game, you check out the rules of the game and iPoker's announcement below!

The game is very similar to regular poker, with one key difference. It's played with 36 cards instead of 52, as the name suggests every card between 2-5 gets removed and Aces count as both high and as a five (if you can make a straight with it).

Thanks to the fewer number of cards the game is full of action, players can make strong hands much easier. Because of this the hand rankings are also different, trips are stronger than straights and flushes beat full houses.

In October, two poker rooms (who mainly focus on the Russian market) announced the introduction of Six-Plus Hold'em and after the success of the game iPoker network decided to follow suit.

The iPoker network includes rooms such as Gala Poker, Mybet and Everest Poker and according to their announcement, Six-Plus Holdem games will be available from February 29. The iPoker network is currently the 4th biggest network/room on the .COM/.EU market based on their cash game traffic.

Good luck and have fun at the tables!
