Isildur1 to become Unibet sponsored player?

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom talked about participating in a live cash game organized by Unibet and about attending the Unibet Open in London this November, and rumors are he might join the company as a sponsored player soon.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has disappeared from the high stakes tables after separating/being fired from Full Tilt, he only returned for a few brief sessions on PokerStars.

Many people guessed that the young Swedish pro went broke, and there was speculation about a potential new sponsor aswell, and after Blom posted the following on Twitter, many already declare his Unibet sponsorship as a fact.

"In Macau right now, but planning to play the @unibet cash game before @unibetopen at Aspers in London end of November. Looks fun!"

Although one Twitter message is not much clue, the fact that Blom has almost exclusively used his Twitter account to post information/news regarding various Full Tilt promotions definitely increases the chance of the rumors being true.

Blom doesn't play many tournaments, he pretty much only attended PokerStars sponsored events, it's well known that he prefers cash games, he often even skips bigger local tournaments, so the fact, that he is promoting an event weeks in advance makes it even more possible that Unibet has recruited him.

Unibet has been very successful lately, their revenues and traffic have both increased, it wouldn't be surprising if they tried to accelrate the increasement by signing a well known pro.

Isildur1 won millions of dollars at untracked euro sites before becoming famous. While Blom's finances are a mystery, and it's unlikely that he is in Macau for a sightseeing tour, it's still possible that after failing to find success at PokerStars and Full Tilt, he could return to the scene of his early success, a smaller European site.

There is not much information about the other ex-Full Tilt pro, Gus Hansen, he has completely disappeared from the tables since parting ways with Full Tilt. According to high stakes pro Jason "klink10k" Mo, Gus has told him that he has given up on online play.
