The first big tournament of the year started yesterday as I informed you. 30 players registered for the $100,000 Super High Roller tournament, including poker superstars like Eugene Katchalov, Daniel Negreanu, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Erik Seidel, Jonathan Duhamel, Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Jason Mercier and Scott Seiver. 12 players were eliminated during the first day, so now only 18 remain.

The tournament is re-buy enabled, which 2 players, Bill Perkins and Jonathan Duhamel used, Perkins in vain, because he was eliminated again, but Duhamel remained, acquiring a decent amount of chips. Eugene Katchalov also dropped out rather quick, you can read an interview with him at PokerStars.

The game continues tomorrow, with Day 2, lead by Isaac Haxton, who is sitting on 1.240.000 chips. The event will be televised, but not streamed live just yet.
