PCA Main Event Gets Down to Final Six
The final table is lead by the infamous gambler, Chino Rheem.
The $10,300 Main Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is getting closer to its end, with only six players remaining of the original 865. Many of the favorites fell during Day4 with the likes of Matthias Eibinger, Matt Berkey, Christopher Vogelsang or Marc-Andre Ladouceur.
The most well-known player at the final table is Chino Rheem, who's been on the live tournament grind for more than a decade, but his long history of unpaid debts is what he's more famous for. The US pro will return to the table with 7,550,000 which equals 94 big blinds.
Second in chips with 6,015,000 is lesser-known Scott Wellenbach, who famously gave away his €61,400 prize, after finishing 17th in the PokerStars Championship Barcelona 2017. The 67-year-old Canadian is looking to do same with his Main Event winnings, which can even mean $1.5 million to a lucky charity's way.
US pro, Brian Altman is third in chips, with a stack of almost 5 million. The 30-year old player has over $2.8 million in live tournament winnings, with several cashes from earlier PCA events.
Spaniard Vicent Bosca only switched to live tournaments in 2018, after spending several years playing online. His biggest score to date came from the 2018 WSOP Main event, but he's already guaranteed a new record at this event. Vicent will return with 2,875,000 to seat six.
Californian Daniel "deoxyribo" Strelitz has also been a professional for years now, amassing over $3 million in total live earnings, with a seven-figure payday after closing out the 2017 WPT L.A. Poker Classic for over $1 million. Sterlitz sits on a shorter stack this time, he has 2,355,000.
31-year-old Pavel Veksler is having quite a PCA. He finished 68th in the $25,000 Players Championship for $56,800 which is his highest tournament cash, but he's also guaranteed an at least a six-figure prize here. Pavel sits on 2,035,000 which is the shortest stack on the final table.
