Super High Roller Bowl 2015 - Meet the players, Part 1

The $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl is one of the most anticipated poker tournaments of the summer, currently there are 57 players registered for the tournament ranging from businessmen and hedge fund managers to old-school poker legends and the biggest talents of the new poker generation. This summer there will be no $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop tournament, but businessman Cary Katz craved some ultra-high stakes action and worked together with Aria Casino to create the Super High Roller Bowl, which will run between July 2 - 4.

As we have previously reported, the $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl  will be available for viewing on the first ever 24/7 poker TV channel, Poker Central.

The event attracted a huge field despite being announced only 1,5 months ago, currently there are 57 players registered for the tournament including most of the game's greats. During the next two weeks we are going to introduce all of the currently confirmed participants, providing a little bit of insight into their backgrounds and poker history.

Alfred DeCarolis: DeCarolis is an entrepreneur and investor from Pittsburgh. His investments include a French/Vietnamese fushion restaurant chain called 9021PHO and he has also worked as an executive producer with Leonardo DiCaprio in the critcally acclaimed documentary "The 11th hour". DeCarolis biggest poker result is a third place finish at the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em Mixed Max event in 2014 for which he received $290,622.

Andrew Lichtenberger: Andrew "luckychewy" Lichtenberger is considered one of the best players of the new generation, he has more than $6 million in live tournament earnings and is also a successful cash game player. Lichtenberger is a Vegas regular, he has 11 six-figure scores in various events, but his biggest win came last December when he won the $100,000 buy-in Alpha8 Las Vegas for more than $2.1 million. Lichtenberger also made a guest appearance in the poker reality show "2 Months 2 Million"

Andrew Robl: Andrew Robl is the star of the poker documentary "Busto to Robusto" and is considered by many to be one of the best live cash game players. He is a regular at the Big Game in Vegas and has also played in the ultra-high stakes cash games in Macau. Robl started out as an online cash game player under the nickname "good2cu" and he also has impressive results in live tournaments, his biggest score was taking down the $100,000 Challenge at the 2013 Aussie Millions for A$1,000,000.

Antonio Esfandiari: Antonio Esfandiari is one of the most well-known poker players, both for his entertaining personality (which can be witnessed in legendary poker shows like High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark) as well as his impressive results at the tables. Esfandiari won the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop for $18,346,673 in 2012, which increased his lifetime live tournament earnings to $26.4 million, which is good for second place on the all-time money list. Esfandiari also has two World Poker Tour titles several Super High Roller final tables.

Bob Bright: Bright is a legendary stock market trader, who built his trading bankroll by playing blackjack professionally. He was so good at card-counting that today he is pretty much banned from every blackjack table on the planet. Bright is now partly retired and plays a lot of poker, and while he has accumulated almost $350,000 in live tournament earnings, he can most often be seen at the highest stakes cash games at the Aria Casino, where the stakes can be as high as $600/$1,200 and even more when the Macau guys come to town.
