WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event - Stefan Schillhabel wins first WPT title and $1,298,000

Last year's EPT Malta Main Event fourth place finisher Stefan Schillhabel (pictured below, sweating the board in the final hand) took down a tough final table, banking the biggest score of his career sofar.

The 6-handed final table of the $7,500 buy-in WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star kicked off with the chiplead of Stefan Schillhabel, but the last remaining Shooting Star, Maria Ho also started the finale with a healthy stack. Whoever eliminated Ho would receive a $2,500 bounty and a signed ''I Busted Maria Ho'' t-shirt.

In the hand Schillhabel check/raised a rainbow A-8-2 flop to 1,275,000 and bet 2,700,000 when another Deuce hit the turn, Geyer called once again. The river was a Queen which brought a third Club to the board. Schillhabel went all-in and Geyer folded after a couple of minutes of thinking, he was left with 28 big blinds.

Geyer didn't manage to turn it around, during Level 35 (150,000/300,000-50,000 ante) he shoved all-in for 1,850,000 and Schillhabel called.
