Harrison ''gibler123'' Gimbel denied Mohsin ''sms9231'' Charania the entry to the elite club of three-time WPT champions after a tough heads-up battle. Gimbel claimed his first title and $275,112 for the win.

The 6-handed final table of the $3,500 buy-in WPT Rolling Thunder Main Event kicked off with a tough lineup that included Harrison Gimbel, Mohsin Charania and Hafiz Khan.

Seat 1. Mohsin Charania – 2.716.000 (136 bb)
Seat 2. Russell Garrett – 3.686.000 (184 bb)
Seat 3. Hafiz Khan – 754.000 (38 bb)
Seat 4. Harrison Gimbel – 3.315.000 (166 bb)
Seat 5. Derek Wolters – 544.000 (27 bb)
Seat 6. Markus Gonsalves – 1.258.000 (63 bb)

The first elimination took place in the 57th hand of the final table (Level 26: 20,000/40,000-5,000 ante). Wolters opened to 90,000 from UTG and Gimbel called. Both players checked the 9-8-5 flop and Gimbel bet 85,000 when a Ten hit the turn.

Wolters shoved for 565,000 and Gimbel called him after a short deliberation. Wolters shoved K-T for top pair while Gimbel had J-9 for a pair and a straight draw. Unfortunately for Wolters, Gimbel spiked a nine on the river to make trips and send Wolters packing.

Ten hands later Garrett minraised to 80,000 from the button, Khan shoved with 3-3 and Garrett called with A-Q. The board ran out 7-7-5-5-9 and Garrett won with his ace kicker.

Six hands later Gonsalves was also eliminated, he shoved for 275,000 from the small blind after Garrett's open and Gimbel's flat. Garrett folded but Gimbel called with K-Q, which bested Gonsalves' A-J on the Q-T-8-Q-J board.

Seat 1. Mohsin Charania – 2.075.000 (42 bb)
Seat 2. Russell Garrett – 5.110.000 (102 bb)
Seat 4. Harrison Gimbel – 5.090.000 (102 bb)

During Level 28 (30,000/60,000-10,000 ante) Gimbel minraised, Charania called and Garrett shoved all-in with A-Q  for 1,770,000. Charania called with 7-7 and the pair held up.

Mohsin Charania – 6.165.000 (103 bb)
Harrison Gimbel – 6.110.000 (102 bb)

The heads up brought a big battle as the two players tangled for 114 hands. The tournament finished on Level 33 (100,000/200,000-25,000 ante). Charania limped, Gimbel shoved and Charania called all-in for roughly 2 million chips.

Gimbel shoved 5-4 suited while Charania had K-Q suited. The board ran out J-3-2-5-5 and PCA Main Event champion Gimbel spiked trips to win his first WPT title and $275,112.
