Dwan Not Available - Macedo Wants to Play with Blom Instead

Since the Black Friday of poker makes the durrrr challenge 3 impossible, Jose 'Girah' Macedo would challenge Isildur1 to a heads-up game, possibly as the next installment of the SuperStar Showdown.

As Rakerace.com published in March, the Portuguese Poker Prodigy as many call him, now a Lock Poker pro, contacted his favourite player, Tom Dwan on twitter,  asking him whether he is interested in a durrrr challange against him. At first Dwan seemed to be interested in the the challenge that would last 50,000 hands, but then he didn't reply to Macedo. On April 14, Macedo gave it another try to contact Dwan on twitter:

"Hey, sorry to keep pushing this, but can you give me a final answer on whether you'll be taking any more Durrrr challenges or not?" Macedo asked.

Before he could even answer the questions, April 15 (now known as the Black Friday) hit, making it clear that such a challenge won't happen soon.

But Macedo didn't give up, he started looking for some high stakes heads-up action. He quickly turned to the other highly popular nosebleed heads-up pro, the Team PokerStars Pro Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom:

"Hey, you doing any more Isildur HUNL Challenges? I'm interested, is there a waiting list?" Macedo asked on twitter. Blom hasn't replied to the question yet; he might not be authorized to do so, since PokerStars is in a very uncertain situation regarding the SuperStar Showdowns, which are currently on a standstill. Of course, he might have contacted Macedo in private, but there are no further news revealed on that. It is uncertain whether PokerStars will continue the SuperStar Showdown promtion, and if they do, when, but since the WSOP 2011 starts tomorrow, it seems very unlikely we will see another showdown in the near future.

Blom has played against the online qualifier 'Mastermixus' on April 23, no challenger was announced since then. The Swedish pro won 7 showdowns and lost 2, with a total profit of $351,486.
